He was predeceased by: his mother Jane Garbacz; his brother Bryan Garbacz; his grandparents, Joseph, Elizabeth Garbacz, Kenneth and Emma Bondhus; and his uncle John Bondhus (late Diane).

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Wilson; his father Joseph Garbacz; his uncles, Frank Garbacz (Joan), Robert Garbacz (Laura) and Steve Bondhus (Carolyn); and his aunt Anita Andrasco (James).
