He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Dickerson and Clyde Dickerson; his former wife Jean Johnson; his sister Nancy McDaniel Day; his son-in-law David Campbell; his niece Virginia Ann "Cissy" McDaniel James; his grandparents, Will, Anne Holmes Dickerson, Henry and Ola Lewis Helderman; and his siblings-in-law, Jim McDaniel, Reginald Johnson, Melinda and Barbara Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Veta Dickerson; his children, Nancy Miles (Don), Mary Lou Campbell, Susan Klotz (David) and Joe Dickerson (Michele); his grandchildren, Sarah Villalpando (Carlos), Elizabeth Grimm (Justin), Emily Koenig (Scott), Anna Chaney (Kyle), Sally Norman (Paul), Mary Beth Ranew (Wesley), Joe K. Dickerson (Maddie), Thomas Campbell (Daphne), Catherine Stufflebam (Sam), Jim Dickerson (Mackenzie) and Charlie Campbell; his great grandchildren, Courtney Villalpando (Cody French), Camarynn Villalpando, Connor Villalpando, Natalie Grimm, Will Koenig, Avery Grimm, Adam Koenig, Stella Chaney, Jude Koenig, Carter Faye Dickerson, Andrew Norman, Wyatt Ranew, Clara Campbell and Charlotte Jean Dickerson; his nephews, Joel and David McDaniel; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kate James Fluitt, Molly James Saini, Chelsea McDaniel Pawelek, Jodie McDaniel Brzozowski, Jessica McDaniel Putz, Kristi McDaniel Seldon, Hunter James and Keith Montgomery; his nieces, Leah and Jennifer Johnson (Jason); his great-nephew Tom Johnson; his cousin Jerry Crowell; and also, Tom Johnson, Ambra Austin (Hunter), Lee Easley (Suzanne), Hadleigh Austin, Ethan Austin and Alexandra Scallions (McKale). He is also survived by his four children, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
