He is survived by: his parents, Melvin "Ray" Smith, Jr. and Jean Hadley; his wife Rebecca Smith of Chesterfield; his children, Amber Smith, Megan Smith, Amanda Smith and Aaron Smith; his grandchildren, Archer and Olivia; and his siblings, Susan Matthews of McKinney and Steve Smith of Memphis.
