With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilda Hess Defield (Charleston, Missouri), born in Caddo Gap, Arkansas, who passed away on November 3, 2019 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew C. Hess and Lydia Williams Hess; her husband Edward Clyde DeField; and her siblings, Andrew Clarence Hess, Marjorie Hess Suydam, Bruce Hess, Leroy Hess, Opal Hess Williams, Arnold Hess, Mae Ellen Hess Jones and Ivan "Tommy" Hess.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Bruce DeField; her children, Judith Lydia DeField Martin (Dennis) of Perryville, Michael Edward DeField (Jane) of Plainfield, IN, Bruce Gerald DeField (Janet) of Charleston and Daniel William DeField of Charleston; her grandchildren, Deanna Martin of Moberly, Becky Martin Blaylock (Michael) of Georgetown, IN, Katie Martin Peck (Edward) of Olympia Fields, IL, Emily Martin Schwertfeger (Matthew) of Clarksville, TN, Heather DeField GeRue (Matthew) of Plainfield, IL, Andrew DeField (Ann) of Kirkwood and Allison DeField Rich (Ian) of Jonesboro, IL.; her great grandchildren, Hasten Blaylock, Gabriel Blaylock, Alexandria Peck, Garret Schwertfeger, Maelyn Schwertfeger, Jase Schwertfeger, Jett GeRue, Levi GeRue, Benjamin DeField and Theodore DeField; and her grandsons-in-law, Matt GeRue, Mike Blaylock, Edward Peck, Matt Schwertfeger and Ian Rich.
