With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Marie Cates of Charleston, Missouri, who passed away on January 26, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Violet Marie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ervin Cates and Violet Norene Simmerman Cates; and her brothers, Thomas Ervin Cates and Carl Henry Cates. She is survived by: her sister Naoma Fay Cates; her sister-in-law LaDonna Cates; her nephews, Todd and Cory; and her niece Carla.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McMikle Funeral Home, Inc.- Charleston (201 S Center St, Charleston, MO 63834). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
