She was predeceased by: her parents, H. A. Kuydendall and Mertie Yancy Kuykendall; her spouse Jearl Ray Cates; her grandsons, Paul Jason Cates and Lance Cates; and her siblings, Audrey Kuykendall, Harmon Kuykendall, Shirrell Kuykendall, Almous Kuykendall, Russell Kuykendall, Carmen Kuykendall, Margie Coffer, Betty Schatte, Elzie Pemberton, Leo Pemberton, Ralph Pemberton, Tom Pemberton, Arvellia King and Wanda Salyer.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Cates (Sharon) of Anniston, Larry Joe Cates (Clara) of Okeechobee, FL and Sandra Darlene Frazier (Randy) of Judsonia, AR; her grandchildren, Audra, Larry Joe, Jr., Sabrina, Summer, Callie, Randal, John, Michael and David; and her siblings, Jay Kuykendall and Linda Rogers. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McMikle Funeral Home (201 S Center St, Charleston, MO 63834). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral McMikle Funeral Home (201 S Center St, Charleston, MO 63834).
