Ruth Helen Slaten Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 10, 2021, at the age of 91, Ruth Helen Slaten of Charleston, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lon Steward and Bertha Pink Hardy Steward; her son John C. "Johnny" Slaten; and her siblings, Walter Steward, Fred Steward, Clay Steward, Paul Steward, Marvin Steward, Mildred Bradsher Anthony, Artie Hefner and Faye Steward.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Gordon "Gene" Slaten; her children, Gordon Slaten (Terry) of Charleston, Stephen Slaten (Martha) of Cape Girardeau and Mary Susan Ponder (Rudy) of Sikeston; her daughter-in-law Robin Slaten of Charleston; and her grandsons-in-law, Bill Ponder, Andy Ponder, Bobby Slaten, Jacob Shreve, Josh Shaw and Berin Waller. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
