He was predeceased by: his son Dustin Lee Smoot; and his brothers, Kevin Wayne Smoot and Bernard Neal Smoot. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kay Smotherman; his son Jordan Ray Smoot of Jackson, MO; and his brother Walter Raymond "Butch" Smoot of Charleston.
