He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Ann Bender; his wife Charlotte Self; his grandchildren, Douglas, Jessica, Mark, Jonathan, John Robert, Daniel, Chase, Jettie Kate and Jane Ellen; his great grandchildren, Addison, Samuel, Jada, Luke, Kaleb, Bennett, Owen, Jayci, Cody and River; and his brothers, Nathan Griggs of Brawley, CA, Richard Griggs of Charleston, MO. and Samuel Griggs of Charleston, MO..
