She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Roy Slaten and Myrtle Kemp Slaten; her husband Lloyd Allen Baker; her grandson Benjamin Ponder; her great grandchild Akyria Taylor; her siblings, Carlton Slaten, Hal Slaten, Minnie S. Warren and Pauline S. Pinelle; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Slaten and Ruth Slaten.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Ponder of DesAllemand, LA, Kathy Garrard (Mike) of Charleston and Allen Baker (Kathy) of St. Anne, IL; her grandchildren, Leia Milster (Ben) of Luling, LA, Gina Taylor (William) of Clinton, MS and Jake Garrard (Jess) of Cape Girardeau, P. J.; her brothers, Gene Slaten of Charleston and Kemp Slaten (Jane) of Charleston; and her great grandchildren, Ellie, Levi, Luke Milster, Aleyna, Isaiah, Noah Taylor, Phillip Ponder, Quinn and Katy Garrard.
