She is survived by: her mother Omagene Brinston Gillespie of Charleston; her husband Ronald Mitchell of Jackson; her stepdaughter Andreon Mitchell of Jefferson City; her siblings, Schuyler Gillespie (Alison) of St. Paul, Gregory Gillespie (Julian) of Miami and Carla Gillespie of Minneapolis; her siblings-in-law, Lonnie Sides, Barbara Swan (Dennis), Kathryn Bruce (Rolland) and Larnice Hammonds; her grandchildren, Cayden and Madison; and her goddaughters, Alena, Lindsay, Lori Gant, Karen Cooper and Geneva Parker. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
