She is survived by: her husband Marvin Gillespie; her children, Brandon Gillespie (Jamychel Davis) of Charleston and Claudia Gillespie of Charleston; her siblings, Eddie Powell of St. Louis and Margaret Powell of Chicago; and her grandson Lavell Gillespie. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
