She was predeceased by: her husband Carlton Roy Slaten; and her siblings, Tessie Walker, Charles Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Margaret Wheelen, Ella Moore, Evelyn Sanders, George Jackson and A. V. Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Slaten (Lucy), Mary Frances Summers (Russell), Carla Riley (Carl) and Eddie Slaten (Becky); and her grandchildren, Laura Odom, Scott Slaten, Joe Slaten, Chellie Burton, Tom Summers, Brandy Wotipka, Allahna Moore, Elizabeth Firchau, Mike Riley, Matthew Slaten and Emily Fay. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
