She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Chappell and Geneva Moore; her siblings, Charles Chappell, Curtis Chappell, Frank Chappell, Alfreddie Pettigrew and Ruth Chappell; her daughter-in-law Shalonda Chappell; her granddaughter B'Anca Chappell; and her great grandchild Zyirr Flye.
She is survived by: her close friend Ella Mae; her husband Charles Johnson; her children, Fredrick Chappell (Rochelle) of Sikeston, MO, Felix Chappell of Charleston, MO, Antonio Chappell (Schmekia) of Charleston, MO and Teressa Chappell of Charleston, MO; and her siblings, Floyd, Norman, Morris, James, Milton Chappell Jr., Elizabeth Murray, Sharon Horrell, Jeannette Chappell, Angela Nicholson, Arthea Elzie, Dechia Chappell, Gwen Chappell and Ella Rice. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
