He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Murphy and Margaret Pullen Hopper; his children, Sarah Louise Adams and Audie Lee Murphy; and his brother Danny Hopper.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Mae Carter; his children, Eddie Murphy Jr. of Wyatt, MO, Ricky Murphy of Charleston, MO and Tammy Burns of East Prairie, MO; and his siblings, Bobby Hopper of Sikeston, MO and Sandra Pruden of Diehlstadt, MO. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
