Carter; her children, Brandon Heath Shands (Emily) of Woodlawn, IL., Ashley Rae Crum of Willard and Laura Miles Simpson (David) of Broken Arrow; her grandchildren, Austin Heath Shands, Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Shands of Woodlawn, IL. and Addison Rae Crum (Briar Rose Crum) of Willard; her great grandchild Easton James McKillip of Charleston; and her sisters, Dorothy Maxine Bozeman of East Prairie and Bessie Marie Smith of Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, plants and gift items, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in Memphis, Tn. or to the American Cancer Society.
