He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn Cogdill; his daughter Leslie Childers Ellis (Keith Ellis) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Abigail Sadie Ellis and Stephen Joseph Ellis (Joey); and his siblings, Tony Childers, Danny Childers and Linda Williford of Thompsonville.
