She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Hughes and Mary Viola Breedlove; her spouse Claude Slayton; and her siblings, Thomas, Johney, Clarence, Carl Hughes, Marie Burton, Kathrine Hughes and LaVonda Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Smith (Sharon) of Illinois, Lindell Kinder (Angie) of Rockview, Danny Kinder (DeAnn) of Scopes, Missouri, JoWanda Chiles of Chaffee, Glenda Brown (Pete) of Waynesville and Sharon Wiseman (Matt) of Jackson, Missouri; and her sister Sylvia M. Mabrey of Wentzville, Missouri. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
