He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Otis and Bonita Sue Mantel. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Curd; his son Robert Michael Rister of Sikeston; his stepchildren, Michael Cowell (Sarah) of Chaffee, Bonnie Dannenmueller (Shannon) of Scott City and Lori Cowell of Chaffee; and his siblings, Rusty Rister (Lana) and Robin Rister of Chaffee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
