He is survived by: his son William Michael Mantel (Tina) of Canton, Ohio; and his sister Barbara Arnold of Chaffee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Chaffee (301 S 3rd St, Chaffee, MO 63740). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“MY DAD MIKE MANTEL WAS A GREAT DAD AND LOVING HUSBAND TO HIS WIFE RETA LOU MANTEL HE WOULD GO BEYOND HIS WAY WHEN ASKED TO. MY DAD GREW HIS SON WILLIAM M, MANTEL UP TO A STRONG ADULT WHO HE IS THIS DAY, AS A WORKING HARD STREET CLEANER FOR THE CITY OF CHAFFEE HE PUT IN 30 LONG YEARS THERE AS WELL. I MY SELF ALONG WITH HIS REMAINING RELATIVES WILL SURELY MISS HIM SO VERY MUCH HE REMAINS IN MY HEART AND MIND EVERYDAY!! I WILL ALWAYS THINK OF MY DAD AND MOM EVERY DAY!!”
