He was predeceased by: his father Sherman Vick Phillips; his sons, James Allen Phillips and Bobby Gene Phillips; and his siblings, Larry Phillips and Pamela Melissa Pobst.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Singleton; his children, Kelly Phillips (Amy) of Oran and Cathryn Gramlisch (Mike) of Jackson; and his brother Rodney Phillips of Oran. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
