He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Sr. and Doris Mae Heilman Owens; his wife Brenda Lee; and his brother Dennis Owens. He is survived by: his former wife Saundra Harris; his children, Kim Boitnott (Bill) of Chaffee, Missouri, Candice Goins (Gary) of Cobden, Illinois and Gary Owens (Bobbie) of Chaffee, Missouri; his brother Jack Owens of Gordonville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Shaylin Carlton (Corbin), Dalton Goins, Colton Goins, Bailey Owens, Austin Owens, Jett Lee Owens, Ben Boitnott and Cortney Aden; and his pets, Phoebe and Caesar. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one brother: Dennis Owens, Due to the Corona Virus, the family request that all services be private.
