Though Amelia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Glency and Jessie Glency (Bailey); and her husband William "Shorty" Simpson. She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Simpson (Janie) of Chaffee and Paul Simpson (Stephine) of Chaffee; and her grandchildren, Kim Hendrix, Jerry Laxton, Tina Hourat, Kylie Jo Laxton, Taylor Laxton and Milo Green. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel - Chaffee (203 W Yoakum Ave, Chaffee, MO 63740). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
