He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Chapman and Edna Chapman (Ketchum); and his brothers, Fred, Ted, Kenneth and Phillip.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Lindsey; and his children, Marlena Crowe, Lisa Scroggins (James), Bobby Chapman, Becky Porter (Ed), Ryan Chapman (Hermela), Duane Bittle (Alisa) and Angie Ketchum (Derek). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
