He was predeceased by: his parents, Irl F. Ballew and Edna F. Ballew (Smith); his wife Margaret C. Burson; his son Ray Dale Ballew of Las Vegas, NV; his granddaughter Christa Ann Matthews of Columbia, MO; and his siblings, Warren Ballew (Margaret Patton), Ina Coolley (Nina Miller Sims), Betty Rosenfelder (Marceline) of Centralia, Cleo Davenport, Randell and Woodrow (Frances).
He is survived by: his son Gary Irl Ballew (Susan) of Carson City, NV.; and his grandchildren, Catha LaGere (Jon), Roy Ballew and Robin Tejada (Bryant). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
