She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Houchins and Ruby Pearl Swindell (Potter); her husband Clifford Powell; and her siblings, Ralph Swindell, Mary Hockman, Raymond Swindell and Robert Swindell.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Powell of Columbia and Jim Powell (Lori) of Columbia; her grandsons, Jordan Powell (Lauren) of Columbia, Austin Powell (Megan) of Columbia, Trent Powell of Columbia and Grant Powell of Columbia; her great grandchildren, Jace Powell, Natalie Powell and Hallie Powell; and her sister Anna Mae Stockdall of Wellsville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
