She was predeceased by: her parents, Lon Bowles and Ethel Bowles; her son Billy Dean Helvey; her husband Paul Helvey; and her great grandchildren, Kodi Caine, Alexander and Benjamin Helvey.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Susan Niemeyer (Helvey) of Columbia, MO; her daughter-in-law Darla Helvey (Cheek) of Columbia, MO; and her grandchildren, Jason Helvey (Jennifer) of Troy, MO, Melody Cain (Gary) of Columbia, MO, Jeremiah Helvey of La Crescent, MN and Jennifer Caine (Ashanti) of Columbia, MO. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Memorials in her name are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
