She was predeceased by: her parents, W. J. Tapley and Dora Conrad Tapley; her husband Robert Briggs "R. B." Cowden; her brother Clark Tapley; her grandson Ryan Cowden; and her children-in-law, Laurie Cowden and Gary Don Reighley.

She is survived by: her children, Nyla Reighley of Center, MO, Roger Cowden (Kathy) of Center, MO, Cheryl Evans (Kevin) of Paris, MO, Alan Cowden of Center, MO and Tracy Shawn (Kevin) of Oxford, MS..

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Center Baptist Church (401 N Public St, Center, MO 63436). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Center Baptist Church.
