He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess William and Annie Alice Rogers Phelps; his wife Frances Marie Ames; his son Russell Wayne Phelps; and his siblings, Claude Phelps, Eugene "Tubby" Phelps, Jess "Dude" Phelps, Vivian Wright, Agnes Gay and Alice Pauline Daly.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth E. Phelps (Vickie) of Center, Marsha Smith of New London and Jean Ann Bateman of New London. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bienhoff Funeral Homes (400 S Public St, Center, MO 63436). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
