She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Hays, and Birdie Hays, Sr. (Livers); her grandparents, Claiborne and Fannie Livers; her sisters, Carol Elaine Hays, Sarah Jane Hays and Mary Sue Hays; and her sister-in-law Melissa Hays (Long).
She is survived by: her son Rodney Spires (Lisa) of Mexico; her granddaughters, Rebecca Griffith (Hunter), Madison Spires and Brooklyn Allen; and her siblings, James "Pete" Hays (Christine) of Curryville, Billy W. Hays, Jr. of Frankford, Nancy Pipkin (Wayne Pickett) of New London, Becky Hays of New London and Linda Hays of New London. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
