She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Haley Long; and her parents, Harry Falkenberg and Margaret Falkenberg (Slapinski). She is survived by: her husband James R. Harding; her brothers, Robert H. Falkenberg (Estela) of Watsonville and Kenneth Falkenberg (Cindy) of Morrison, Colorado; her stepdaughters, Shannon Juett (Phillip) of Dallas and Tracy Long (John) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her nieces, Chris Krutsche (Ralph) of Littleton, Kathy Falkenberg of Glenwood Springs and Jill Patrilla (Steve) of Littleton, Colorado; her great-nieces, Kloe Cauble, Kenzie Cunningham and Megan Patrilla; her granddaughters, Gabrielle and Natalie Juett; and her close friends, Jesse and Cali.

In lieu of flowers, Karen asked that memorial donations be made to one of two organizations that were very meaningful to her: Cedarcreek Fire Protection District, PO Box 135, Cedarcreek, Missouri 65627 or Ozarks Food Harvest, PO Box 5746, Springfield, MO 65801.
