He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Herek and Gertrude Herek; his wife Gail K. Herek; his children, Sue Higgins and Jean Djirlic; and his siblings, Donald Herek, Robert Herek and Mary Herek.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Parrett (late Jim) and Edward Kowach Jr.; his grandchildren, Tori Higgins, Sean Higgins, Courtney Parrett and Samantha Johnson (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Ella, Anthony, Zoey, Gwen and Autumn; and his brother Richard Herek. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
