He is survived by: his wife Penny Challans; his children, Nicole Pettis (Michael) of Milwaukee, Joseph Challans of High Ridge, Amy Blayney (Robert) of Lees Summit, Christina Lawson (Ryan) of Topeka and Dennis Challans (Jennifer) of St. Peters, Missouri.; and his siblings, William, Charles, Ralph, Trudy and Aetna.
