He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucinda Smith and Walter Smith; and his siblings, Tex, Donnie, Darlene, Brenda, Beverly and Randy.
He is survived by: his wife Bonita Smith; his children, Christina (Jimmy), Alvita, Benny Jr., Caroline (Jason), Angela (Sudhi), Robert (Laura), Joah (Shelene) and Jonathan "Jonny" (Lisa); his grandchildren, Norah, Jay, Jasper, Zella, Christopher, Meriah, Ashley, Jessica, Samantha, Jordyn, Elizabeth, Noel and Sam; and his brother Johnny. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, numerous other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bonita Smith in honor of Benny to help the family cover funeral expenses during this difficult time.
