He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Griffin and Jewell Griffin (James); his brother Jimmy Griffin; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Barzelogna, Ray Wells and Dennis Taylor.
He is survived by: his siblings, John R. Griffin, Sunny Barzelogna, Jean Griffin, Linna Wells, Susan Taylor and Cynthia Leonard (Lewis); and his nieces and nephews, Robert Barzelogna, Richard Barzelogna, Lance Wells, Choya Wells, Tammy Wells, Courtney Bledsoe, Matt Taylor, Shannon Taylor, Cahen Taylor and Melodie Sells. He is also survived by ten great nephews and nieces; and three great-great nephews.
