He was predeceased by: his parents, John Travis French and Ethel Jane Hitt French; his son Keith French; and his siblings, John French, Lee French, Freeman French and Viola Miles.

He is survived by: his children, Terry French (Cindy), Tom French (Debbie), Tina Hendrix (Dennis), Teressa Osborn (Keith) and Michael French (Vivian). He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
