He was predeceased by: his brother Robert A. Retz. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Willey; his children, Andy C., Molly Retz of Sikeston, Dr. Elizabeth S. (Bryan Jones) and Matt H. (Colleen Retz); his grandchildren, Elanor N. Horn (Audry), Megan M. Retz, Evelyn S. Jones, Eric A. Retz, Willey M. Retz and Gabriel C. Jones; his brother John E. (Lisa Retz); and his godchildren, Eileen Simmons, John DeVecchis and Joseph Price.
