He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Yount (Lillian) and Lillian Yount; his brothers, Loague Yount and Eugene Yount; and his close friend Dorris McKinney.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Yount; his children, Steve Yount of Alabama, Kyle Yount (Becky) of Labadie, Derek Loeffel (Jennifer) of Labadie and Kimberly Purple of Georgia; his siblings, Dale Yount (Judy) of Florida and Margie Lawson of Union; and his grandchildren, Ziva Yount, Blake Smythe, Trevor Loeffel, McKinzie Loeffel, Marissa Purple, Brittney Purple and Dustin Purple. He is also survived by nieces; nephews.
