She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Birdsall and Iona A. Birdsall (Hill); her husband Fred James Vollenweider; her son John; her granddaughter Kristen; and her siblings, Gayle Anderson, Richard and Robert.
She is survived by: her daughter Janis Lynne Johnson of Cassville; her grandchildren, Mark Vollenweider (Melissa) of Cassville, David Vollenweider (Chris) of St. Louis, Suzanne Delaney (Dan) of Gypsum, John Schwab (Abby) of Denver and Lisa Vollenweider of Loveland, Colorado; and her stepgrandchildren, Jim, Michael, Tony and Bernie Lipari.
In lieu of flowers, Ruth requested that those wishing to make donations do so to the Community Food Bank or the Cassville United Methodist Church.
