She was predeceased by: her son Jimmy Ray Brightwell; her grandsons, Dennis Caudle and Steve Gurney; and her son-in-law Ken McGruder. She is survived by: her daughter Marty Coones; her grandchildren, Allie, Truan of Cassville and Deronda Gurney (Tom) of Shell Knob; her great grandchildren, Joshua of Springfield and Debra McIntyre (Tim) of Kingsburg; her grandsons, Clint and Jason Brightwell of California; her adoptive daughter Diann Villines of Jenkins, Missouri.; and also, Todd (Josy) of Cassville, Reef, Rya, Lindsey Hernandez (Joey), McKenzie, Presley and Charley of Kingsburg.
