Dillon Ray Mayes Obituary
Dillon Mayes, age 23, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. The son of Bret and April (Holden) Mayes, Dillion was born on December 17, 1997, in Aurora, Missouri. Living his life to the fullest, Dillon never met a stranger and had a smile that will never be forgotten.
Some of Dillon's' favorite pastimes were tinkering with cars, skateboarding, bikes, and listening to music. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his boys, who were his pride and joy. Though he was with us for a short while, Dillon has touched so many and left a lasting impression on so many lives; he was a friend to so many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his two sons, Jameson and Jensen Mayes, both of Cassville; his mother, April Mayes and her significant other Richard Morgan, of Cassville; his father, Bret Mayes, of St. Joseph; two brothers, Brandon Mayes and his wife Victoria, of Cassville, and Austin Mayes, of Exeter; his maternal grandmother, Frances Taylor, of Cassville; his paternal grandfather, Oakel McClellan, of Bolckow, Missouri; one step-brother, Dakota Morgan, Marshfield; two step-sisters, Bridgett Morgan and Cheyanne Morgan, both of Marshfield, Missouri; three nephews, Emilio, Gerald, and Braxton; two nieces, Hailey and Nevaeh; and several other extended family members who all loved him dearly.
Dillon was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dusty Taylor, and paternal grandmother, Janice McClellan. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Evangelist John Hile officiating.
