He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Cooper and Mattie Cooper (Haynes); his son Bobby Cooper; and his siblings, Don Cooper, Zelma Francisco, Ina Lee Tucker, Maxine Brattin, Lavetta Stipp and Helen Riddle.
He is survived by: his spouse Darelyn Burns; his daughter Melissa Garland (Joe) of Cassville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Brandon, Ben, Jody and Brittany; and also Jerry Francisco. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
