He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Thompson, Sr. and Freda Thompson (Huxhold). He is survived by: his children, William E. Thompson, III (Beaver), Philip Thompson of Carthage, Christopher Hague of Dallas, Texas and Laura Sue "Slates" Thompson of Carthage, Missouri; and his siblings, Russell Thompson of Yanceyville and Nancy Drewick of Tan Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
