It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Eugene Hood of Carthage, Missouri, born in Reeds, Missouri, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife G. Colleen McGowen; and his siblings, Alva Hood (Earlene), Floyd "Todd" Hood, Maxine Carlson (Bob) and Dale Hood.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Hood (Kim) of Neck City, MO, Brenda Patrick (Tim) of Carthage, MO, Barbara Stafford of Carthage, MO and Shonda McClure (Nathan) of Nicholasville, KY; his grandchildren, Jeremy Hood (Cassie), Jennifer Tran, Tyler Hood (Shayla), Cody Hood (Heather), Jordan Hood (Olivia), Lendall Patrick (Kimberlee), Logan Patrick (Kristen), Landon Patrick Lynae (Raenan), Dillan Stafford (Kesslie) and Dalton Stafford (Vanessa); and his sisters-in-law, Janice Hood and Marion "Tootie" Hood. He is also survived by twenty-eight great grandchildren; and one great-great- grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
