She is survived by: her mother Sharon Kay Olinger (Garner); her husband Tim Denefrio; her children, Jordan Denefrio, Emilee Peine (Brett) and Bridger Denefrio (Lauren); her grandchildren, Logen Spencer, Jameson Peine, Tempest Denefrio and Timberlynn Denefrio; and her siblings, Nathan Olinger (Amy) of Jasper, Charlotte Hopper (Randy) of Gulfport, Cheryl Vasquez (Ed) of Savannah, Georgia and Melanie Madsen (Brian) of Carthage. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Before her tenure in Carthage, Sheila was employed with the Joplin School District, where she made significant contributions to the educational community.
