He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sumners and Virginia Sumners (Feaster); his sons, Jason Sumners and Naaman McCullah; and his brother Jerry Sumners Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Winnie Ragain; and his sisters, Linda Johnson of Marionville and Reta Michel of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
