He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Erskin and Ruth Erskin (Wilbur); his wife Dorothy Smith; his daughter Debra Henderson; and his siblings, Virgil, Rolland, Roy, Edward, Jimmy and Wanda Martin.
He is survived by: his former wives, Carolyn Rowe and Carolyn Smith (Rowe); his children, Ricky Erskin of Wichita, Kansas and Sherry Smith (Jimmy) of Carthage, Missouri; his son-in-law Carl Henderson; his siblings, Leonard Erskin of Monett, Missouri and Judy Erskin of Claremore, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Ashley (Jacob), Christopher, Austin, Jessika, Jeffery (Tena), Justin (Megan), Chelsey (Lauren), Nicholas, Tyler and Brayden (Autumn). He is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren.
