Rex Lee Mitchell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rex Lee Mitchell of Carthage, Missouri, who passed away on March 20, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Mitchell and Mildred Flippo (Slater); his siblings, Coy Mitchell and Loretta Hendrix; and his son Rex Mitchell Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Betty June Beam of Carthage; his children, Patricia Griffith of Carthage, Terry Myers of Carthage, Sheila Fulkerson of Carthage, Sarah Chapman (Jerry) of Carthage, Kimberly Grizzle of Holdenville, OK. and Gary Mitchell (Lori) of Carthage; and his sister Carolyn Barlow (Bobbie) of Carthage. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Carthage Humane Society in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
