He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Patro Courtney, Sr. and Eleanor Courtney (Houghton); and his daughters, Kim Courtney and Lynn Courtney. He is survived by: his wife Micki Courtney; his sons, Michael Courtney (Melissa) of Neosho, Jonathan Murphy (Kerry) of Carthage and John Dawe (Rene) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; his brothers, Dale Courtney (Carla) of Moscow, Edward Courtney (Jean) of Myrtle Beach and Robert Waldrop (Fran) of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Max, Kaylin, Caelan, Vincent, Nicolas, Kode, Jennifer, Brandon, Justin, Jason and Emily; and his nieces and nephews, Trisha, Joel, Joshua, Caleb, Chantelle, Katherine, Jennifer, Daniele and Craig. He is also survived by eight great nephews and one great niece.
