She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Carter and Marcella Carter (Bryant); her husband Larry Darland; and her brother Phillip Carter. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Daniel Darland (Norma) of Carthage and Amy Darland (Andrew Davenport) of Parsons, Kansas; her daughter Charlene Smith (Weston) of Carthage; and her siblings, Max Carter (Kathleen), Wayne Carter (Kim), Ray Carter (Melissa), Emma Bradley, Rilla Leeper (Tom) and Melody Hurst (Kent). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
